Unlocking Safety with NOARK and Kirk Key!

Kirk Keys to Safety with Noark Adapters!

NOARK Electric is proud to announce the release of new adapters for power circuit breakers and non-automatic switches. The adapters allow for the use of Kirk Key interlock Type C (part no. KCAM00010) on our Power Circuit Breaker series – A25, A32 & A40.

How Do Kirk Keys Work with NOARK Adapters to Interlock Breakers?

When using two circuit breakers to transfer loads between two sources for example a utility and a main secondary source (for example), it’s essential to ensure that only one breaker is active at a time—never both—unless synchronizing equipment is in place. To achieve this, each breaker is equipped with a keylock, both keyed identically, but with only one key available. Without the key, a breaker remains locked in the OFF position, allowing only the breaker with the key to be turned ON.

NOARK adapters facilitate the use of Kirk Key interlocks to secure the NOARK power circuit breaker in the OFF position. These adapters are mounted in the upper part of the breaker and are visible through the front cover. This setup ensures that both sources cannot supply power to the load simultaneously, effectively preventing potential incidents.

 Partnering for Safety

This partnership between NOARK and KIRK brings together technology leaders offering safety electrical solutions of the highest standards for businesses whose people and equipment operate in harsh and safety critical environments.

Kirk Key is part of Sentric (Part of the Halma group), and manufactures interlock safety solutions to ensure the safety of workers and the efficiency of operations. KIRK manufactures more than 70,000 safety components each year for use in a wide range of industries, guaranteeing a sequential pattern of safe operations for isolating energy and safely accessing hazardous areas.

Both NOARK and KIRK safety and electrical products and solutions are designed and manufactured to suit user requirements, providing protection for workers and peace of mind for customers.
