NOARK’s New Offerings for PhotoVoltaic and Energy Storage Systems

As the twenty-first century progresses with strides in energy transition and shifts toward renewable energy, the demand for larger throughput systems has equally increased.

More manufacturers in the renewable energy space are scaling capacities on intermediate devices to increase output. As we see increasing voltage levels on the photovoltaic panel, combiner boxes, battery storage and inverters, there is equally a need to have circuit protection devices or disconnect switches built specifically to operate and withstand such voltage level.

At NOARK, we have two new offerings that address this new system requirement – 800V Molded Case Circuit Breaker family and 1500Vdc Molded Case Circuit Breaker family. The former is used at the output side of the inverter while the latter is used at the output of combiner boxes and input side of the inverter.

800V MCCB Family of Circuit Breakers and Disconnect Switches

800V MCCB Features

  • Available in 3-pole Molded case circuit breaker or disconnect switches.
  • Amp rating 60A through 400A (in two frame sizes)
  • Operational voltage up to 800Vac
  • Interrupting capacity up 50kA at 800Vac for circuit breaker
  • Wide range of accessories – auxiliary/alarm switches, shunt trip, UVT, extended rotary handles and motor operators.

800V MCCB Certifications

  • CSA C22.2 NO. 5, File no. E355392

1500Vdc MCCB Family of Circuit Breakers

1500Vdc MCCB Features

  • Available in 2-pole, Molded Case Circuit Breaker.
  • Amp rating 200A through 400A (one frame size)
  • Operational voltage – 1500Vdc
  • Interrupting capacities 18kA at 1500Vdc
  • Wide range of accessories – auxiliary/alarm switches, shunt trip, extended rotary handles and motor operators.
